LG GM750 Review
In brief
The LG GM750 mobile phone will keep you in touch with your business and personal world effortlessly and smartly.
Look and Feel
With a neat and modern look, the LG GM750 feels comfortable in the palm of your hand. The 3 inch touchscreen is responsive and the virtual QWERTY keyboard is sufficiently spaced for typing. A stylus comes with the phone so if you do find some web pages or images too small to press, you will still be able to navigate with ease.
The LG GM750 has four home screens for you to make your own. The home screen is where all the widgets are found, giving you direct access to certain applications. You can add further widgets and swap current ones, so your home screen has just your favourite widgets. There are further applications which you can download and add to your home screen, using the Windows Marketplace for Mobile which works just the Apple App Store on the
iPhone.
The second home screen is for multimedia including your songs and photos. The third home screen is for your contacts and you can customise the layout and details. The fourth home screen has Vodafone widgets for accessing features like Navigator.
It is easy to set up and add additional email accounts on the LG GM750 and you can sync your work email, calendar and contact details using the Microsoft Exchange ActiveSync feature. If you want to open attachments on emails and make changes before replying, you can do so using Word, Excel or PowerPoint on the phone’s Pocket Office.
The LG GM750 has a music player with a speaker phone option. With fast connection and data transfer, you can listen to tracks while you surf the internet, rearrange your home screen widgets or type an email.
Special features
The LG GM750 has a 5-megapixel camera installed with autofocus and a video recorder. You can take good quality pictures and then upload them to social networking sites like Facebook or Twitter directly from the phone or send them via picture message or email to friends.
As the LG GM750 is run on the Windows Mobile 6.5 platform, you have access to Microsoft’s MyPhone service. The service is free and lets you back up all your documents online so should you ever misplace your phone, your files will still be safe. It also lets you access your documents from anywhere online so you can update a Word document, save the changes and open it later from your home or office computer.
Thanks to the LG S-Class user interface – which is also on the
LG Arena and
LG Crystal phones – the LG GM750 is very easy to navigate and the features can be quickly accessed and customised.
