Even if competition is fierce in the mobile phone industry with giants such as
Google and
Apple in the mix, Microsoft has their share of high caliber products that appeal to a wide range of audiences. The
Microsoft Kin Two is one such example of these high quality devices. Referred to as “Pure” by some, it is designed to support the lifestyle of social networking butterflies which are aged 15 to 30 years. The mobile phone is heavily based on the Danger Hiptop line and are manufactured by Sharp, a Japanese electronics manufacturer.
Double the Fun
Being the high end big brother of the equally impressive Kin One, the
Microsoft Kin Two is able to pack in twice the quality of specs found in the compact
Kin One. The Kin Two has an 8 megapixel snapper and is able to store 8 GB worth of images in its internal storage. If the capacity is not enough to for you to keep your memorabilia, there is the Kin Studio storage system that allows an online means of making file backups. If you are the type to prefer moving keepsakes however you will be pleased to know that the mobile phone has a 720p video camera.
Show Images on the Spot
The Microsoft Kin Two and the Kin One share a few nifty features that make them unmatchable when it comes to social networking mobile phones. One of these is the Kin Spot which allows the user to share selected files as easy as a single grab and drop motion. To make it clear, all you have to do is look for something you want to share with your friends and family, click it and drag it to the small green circle which is found at the bottom of your screen.
When you drop it in, options on how you want to share it pop up and you are able to deliver the files straight to your friends’ mobile phones without having to traverse so many menus.
What is good about this system is that it applies to photos, video clips as well as messages from your other contacts. It is also the same system used to start multiple people messaging on the mobile device. Simply drag your friend icons onto the green dot and you are all set to sent them a message, just choose if you prefer to make use of either a text message or an email note.
Dazzling Look keeps you Up to Date
There is another noteworthy feature in the
Microsoft Kin Two. It is called simply as the “Kin Loop”. What this does is that it allows you to choose some of your contacts to feature on your home screen. From there, you will be able to view their latest status updates or messages without having to open another app. The layout is reminiscent of those found in the Windows Phone 7. It looks like a magazine or collage which is made up of all your friends’ news.
