Nokia 2730 Classic
Details
Billed as being a cheap alternative to the flashiness and pretension of so many phones out there, the 2730 Classic is already a firm favourite with us here. We´ve long believed that too many firm´s have been overreaching and overpromising when it comes to packing their phones with features, and it´s really refreshing to see Nokia avoiding that trap entirely. That´s not to say, though, that the 2730 Classic is light on features. Far from it. It´s 3G ready, comes with a 3.5mm audio jack and excellent multimedia player, can be tethered to your PC to provide internet connection, has a 2MP camera, stereo Bluetooth and a range of other apps including the brilliant Nokia Maps.
But most impressive is that it does all this with the utmost economy. Because first of all, this is an incredibly cheap phone (cheap in price that is, though certainly not in quality). And secondly, it´s also extremely economical power wise, with an astonishing 17 days of standby time promised.
With Nokia Life Tools, comprehensive webmail features, a web browser, 1GB memory card and stereo headset all included as standard too, you could do far worse than invest your budget in this sleek, light and fully functional phone. Even if you´re not on a tight budget, we think many are going to realised that there´s no reason to break the bank when a thoroughly decent phone like this is available at such unbelievable prices.
Overall
An entry level phone from Nokia that provides more than many mid-rangers. With great internet connectivity, stunningly understated looks and a mammoth battery life, this could be the most satisfying phone you´ve ever owned.
