The Samsung MBP200 Pico Projector is one of two phones in the newly started niche of projector phones by Samsung. It is quite a brilliant idea by Samsung to have started a new niche of phones as the mobile market is being more and more slow and companies are setting cut throat prices in order to get a larger share of the pie. Therefore, the presence of a totally new producet in the market will definitely work in Samsung’s favour and will help them financially and will ensure the stability of the company as a whole. The other projector phone which was announced during the MWC2009 was the Samsung i7410.

The specifications sheet is not really something to brag about, but the unique nature of the phone is more than enough. Anyway, here are the specifications

When looking at the phone, the Pico Projector looks much more sleek than the i7410, though it is a bit more chunky. It does truly have a sleek look with the help of the nice shiny black color. Some parts of the phone are silver. The screen is on the top of the phone, but only supports horizontal orientation. There are a couple of keys under the screen which are meant to be used when you are viewing a video on the projector. The buttons could also serve to control what you want to do on the device itself. On the bottom of the device is located the slide button, which can be used to decrease or increase the focus according to your wishes.

The projector module is located on the right side of the phone and is hidden by a sliding door, which should be slid upon to view videos using the projector.

On the whole, the Pico Projector is a totally new device from Samsung. It would be a really good choice for the businessman who is going to present a presentation but then finds out that there are no projectors at the venue. This is where the Pico Projector comes in handy. All you need is a blank wall with absolutely nothing on it and you will be able to show off your presentation using your Pico Projector with the click of a button.
