Chances are you´ve heard all about Samsung´s decision not to include 3G and WiFi on this phone. Well, we´re here to say truthfully and confidently that it´s not actually as big a deal as you might think. One of the things that´s going to help convince you of this is the ability to choose and place a bunch of customisable widgets on your homescreen that give instant access to the sites and functions you use most. So whether it´s your status updates on Facebook, messages to your friends on MySpace, or just the latest news and weather, you can make sure all are available at just a simple finger tap. All this is also brought to you through the amazing TouchWiz user interface, the UI of choice now for all new Samsung touchscreeners. And, well, as you might have read in other reviews, we can´t speak more highly of this thing. It has to be seen to be believed just how fun and functional it really is.
The Tocco Lite also does a more than adequte job job with with all its other features. Some might not be that in awe of the 3 inch screen but we think it´s more than adequate for whatever you can think to throw at this phone. The camera, again, at 3.2 megapixels isn´t going to win any awards, but if you use it for nothing more than pub nights out or social gathering snaps, then it´ll more than live up to your needs There´s also a range of direct links with Google´s products (Search, Maps, Mail, etc.) that makes us very happy. And, of course, thanks to all the streamlining Samsung have enacted, everything comes in a very chic little package that´ll fit into your palm like it was meant to be there.
So to sum up, if you´re happy to admit you´re okay with the fact this phone isn´t the best option for heavy-hitting internet-access, the Tocco Lite could be a very smart choice. Because not only does it do everything it promises well, but it can also be found (for those of you willing to hunt around for the right deal) at an absolutely stunningly low price.
Conclusion
Samsung have been very open about all the streamlining they´ve done here, and we think it´s paid off. Not only is the Tocco Lite one of the most affordable touchscreen handsets currently on the market but it´s also lighter than just about anything else of this specification, and also fantastically small and thin in design.
Chances are you´re going to find yourself a cracking deal for this thing, and be very happy for quite some time to come.
