Features

Everything that made the Tocco Lite great is still here in force. And best amongst all those things is the excellent TouchWiz interface. We´re more impressed with this user interface by the day, and wonder how long it is before other manufacturers step up to the plate and create something as easy to use. There´s all the usual mobile widgets and other customisable features that make all Samsung touchscreens a joy to use on the S5600, and you´ll be flying through the menu system and all the available features in no time.

And just like the Tocco Lite, one of the immediate things you´ll think when getting hold of the S5600 is just how great it looks, and how nice it fits into your palm. The slim, sleek design is an absolute dream, whether you´re making a call of typing a message. And whether you choose the white or black version, you´ll be turning heads too.

But it´s the changes they´ve made inside that makes all the difference, because while the Tocco Lite was certainly not light on features (millions of people bought it, of course), the S5600 packs in even more. The HSDPA at 7.2mbps is a great addition, meaning all your internet browsing, downloading and other internet tasks are going to be taking place at blazing fast speeds. The camera has been given a modest tweak. It´s still not an award-winner, but it´s a more than capable mid-range camera and with the new LED flash and options like geo-tagging it´ll be all you need for the average night out. And the GPS is also a great addition, meaning you´ll be able to download and use a whole array of mapping and navigational applications.

Summary

The Samsung Tocco Lite´s been given a welcome boost and we can´t but think this is going to be an absolute classic. The Lite brought the best of touchscreen interaction to a wider market, making it available at a mid-range price that made us smile. And now the S5600 is going to bring all this and more to even more of you.

The only slighlty annoying fact is that the S5600 is available exclusively on Orange. But if you´re happy to make that choice, then you won´t regret it. In fact, chances are you´ll find yourself an absolute bargain. Happy deal hunting!
