Look and Feel
Similar to the original
Samsung Galaxy i7500, the Samsung i5700 Galaxy Lite retains many of the features including a 3.2 inch touchscreen. Looks-wise, the Samsung i5700 Galaxy Lite has some interesting touches such as a different colour strip around its speaker and OK button set within the navigation key. Set against the simple exterior colour of black or white, this splash of colour adds interest while retaining the overall clean style and feel of the phone.
The only visible evidence for the 3.2 megapixel camera inbuilt on the phone is just a neat little square for the shutter on the back of the Samsung i5700 Galaxy Lite’s case. Despite its discrete location, the camera also comes with autofocus and a geo tagging feature. This means you can take photos on the move, wherever you go, and label – “tag” – each picture with the place where it was taken.
The touchscreen takes up most of the front of the Samsung i5700 Galaxy Lite, with just a few buttons located beneath it for making calls, ending calls, scrolling back and accessing the main menu. The screen is high resolution with a 16 million colour display and images are bright and clear, enhancing the whole touchscreen experience.
With an Android operating system, the Samsung i5700 Galaxy Lite comes with many Google services including Gmail and Google Maps. You shouldn’t get lost thanks to the Samsung i5700 Galaxy Lite as it also comes with GPS and a digital compass to help keep you on the right track.
The phone also supports YouTube so you can watch videos or upload your own after using the video recording feature on the phone. With great communication features including email and multimedia text messaging, you can easily stay in contact with friends, family and work colleagues. And with a customisable home screen, you can create direct access to your favourite features.

The Samsung i5700 Galaxy Lite, also known as the Samsung i5700 Galaxy Spica, is rapid thanks to its fast processor speed of 800MHz which is faster than the
original Galaxy which has 528MHz. This is a great feature and means you can surf the internet quickly, download videos and documents with ease, and transfer data to your computer via the USB connection or wirelessly with Bluetooth. The internal processor makes the phone even quicker than the
Acer Liquid mobile although it has half the RAM with only 128MB.
With all the features you’d expect from an Android mobile, the Samsung i5700 Galaxy Lite’s speed and lower-end price tag make it very appealing.
